Answer» whilst unplugging an ethernet cable from the back of my machine I JOGGED the power cable which fizzed twice and turned off the machine.
Upon rebooting I received a message:
"scanning IDE drives..... No Array is defined... Press to enter FastBuild(tm) Utility or Press to continue booting"
after I press Esc I get a message saying "No Hard DRIVE is detected". I've taken the harddrive out and had a look and a smell and i don't think anything has burned out. I only have one hard drive.
please help!Liam:
You may want to have someone with the technical expertise USE the FastBuild utility. The instructions are here:
http://help.nec-computers.com/eu/pib.asp?second=on&platform=instr_fastbuild_utility&layout=1411
And here are more links:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22FastBuild+utility%22&btnG=Search
As an alternative, you may want to contact NEC support for assistance in using the utility.
Regards, Docthanks for the help. I FINALLY figured out that SOMEHOW my bios had been changed and had to change the RAID setting... strange stuff!
