Answer» I am SURE this is self inflicted. When requesting a file to download that is a .zip: File downloads automatically and opens with out asking for permission. What do I do to force prompting again? Other file extensions ask me when downloading. Using Windows XP SP2 IE7When downloading a zip file from the Internet, choose the option to Save.Worse than that, Doc, alas. Control Panel-->Folder options-->File types. Find the file type in the list (e.g. ZIP). Click Advanced. Check "Confirm open after download". I think* that should do it...Well. I check and it is SET up that way. I DECIDED ot uninstall WinZip and reinstall it after a reboot. Problem fixed. Must have been native to WinZip or an option in there some where bypassing SECURITY.
