Solve : No “properties” when right clicking image in a web page?

Answer»

Hello all,

Basic specs:
eMachines L1333G, Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed, 64 bit, 2G RAM.
AVG 9.0.800.Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, all CURRENT & run.

Problem:
No “properties” when right clicking image in a web PAGE.

In XP, in the sample below, a right click on a web page image would give the following info:

---------------------------
LINK PROPERTIES
Address: (gives link)
Will open in: Same window
Relation: nofollow
----------------------------
ELEMENT PROPERTIES
Location:  (gives link)
Type: JPEG image
Image dimension: 87px X 84px
Size of file: 3.89KB
Alternate text:  Blah blah
-----------------------------
Text language: English
-----------------------------

This FUNCTION seems to have been lost in Windows7.

Is there any way to get the same info in Windows7 with a right click?

Thanx for any input.

Cheers

Note: hovering over an image that is already on the hard drive will give pixels and total image size, as with XP.
What web browser?I’m running Firefox 3.0.15 on my old XP box and Firefox 3.6 on new W7 box.  Can you take a screenshot of what you are doing exactly? Thanks for your help.

Here's a screen grap (I hope) in W7  with Firefox 3.6.  It's the same on XP box with FF 3.6.3.

It looks like this is a Firefox problem.  After your first post I upgraded my XP box to fire fox 3.6.3 and have lost the right click “properties” function there also.

Thanks for jogging what’s left of my brain and hope this helps some other poor pilgrim.

Cheers

[recovering disk space - old attachment deleted by admin]Does View Image Info not do what you want?Yeah, to be honest I don't ever remember a Properties link there.
It's the exact same with me anyway.

You could try this ADDON for FF: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14228

To some extent.  It gives pixels X pixels but not total size or the top link.  Being lazy, I like to have that information when cutting and pasting images just by right clicking.

kpak, The FF addon did it.  It never occurred to me that FF would remove features.

I don’t care what anybody sez, you guys are OK.  

Again, Thanks for your time and effort.

The only thing missing out of those for me is the top link; it shows me Location, Type, Size, and Dimensions. It probably doesn't show the link since it's displaying the image info; the link will be shown in the statusbar when you hover over the image.
