Recently performed a Clean Install of Win XP using an Operating System CD...MS Win XP Pro SP3.
No sound...
So on the Device Manager, the infamous Yellow ? APPEARS in the "Other Devices" section followed
by the 2nd Yellow ? showing Multimedia Audio Controller...
I'm getting the Code 28 (The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28))
I've DONE everything I can think of ...
I went to Dell's sight and attempted to find a driver for this specific COMPUTER...nada.
Went to a couple driver sites and still wasn't able to find a driver that'll work for the sound...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...Trabel to the Dell site and enter your Service Tag # from the back of the MACHINE...
All your drivers will be lieted.
It may be part of the chipset driver pack.
