After i figured out my motherboard name is Asus I've been searching on Google for audio drivers and i seem to COME across downloading Driver Robot over and over, so perhaps i am infected. I will follow the instructions on the link you gave me and get back to you, if you find any audio drivers that matches my motherboard then please let me know. Not perhaps...you're infected...No, he's not infected.

I just goofed and gave him a crappy link while I was still only half awake.

Here is the proper link for the Asus drivers.

Sorry guys, I can't beleive that I MISSED that crap.WOOHOO! Thanks guys, i went to the link you gave me and after i clicked on the very small text that said Audio Driver in the description of ONE of the things i saw after scrolling down i chose WinXP and clicked search then clicked the Expand + before Audio and clicked Global (DLM) downloaded it, extracted it, and installed it then after i restarted my computer sound was working again. figured i would tell all i did for whoever else comes across this forum with the same problem, and once again Thanks Quantos, Patio and Soybean for the help.No problem man, sorry about the crap link that started all of this.

It really did LOOK like the manufacturers site.
I apologise for assuming the worst....
Glad to hear you are fixed up and stop by anytime ! !Thought i would once again say thanks, my ccomputer is 10 yimes better with sound, haha.
