Solve : No sound or usb port use?

Answer»

Hello,
I have an old toshiba laptop that i am trying to fix, it is a satellite pro a120 running windows xp, it has worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago when there is no audio, the usb HUBS DONT work and i cannot write anything on to a DISC, there are alot of errors keep popping up, I dont really know the advanced stuff so i was wondering if you could help, looking in device manager, UAA high definition audio bus driver has an exclamation mark next to it as does usb composite device and the ethernet and video controllers. I have tried to install realtek audio drivers but nothing has happened. any help would be great, thanks. Travel to the Toshiba site...DLoad and re-install all drivers listed...MBoard Chipset drivers go 1st...then re-boot and continue. Thanks i have look on there, but they have discontinued the a120 now so there are no drivers listed for it because its so old.You could try running MS Fix-it. It's supposed to repair a lot of Windows problems.

Please download and run MS Fix-it from here. Quote from: Emmerrr on JUNE 14, 2013, 02:16:16 PM

You dont neccessarily need "new" drivers...re-installing the available ones should work just fine...
