I still have an old digcam that uses CF cards. I have 2 COMPUTERS with internal card readers & an external one for other use. I forgot all about PRINTERS having them; my printer is an old HP LaserJet PARALLEL port with a JetDirect (external PP to 10BaseT converter). The interesting thing about card readers is you do not use the "Safely Remove Hardware" to remove the card or to remove the card reader if it's an external one. If you do, the device goes away and you have to REBOOT the computer or unplug and replug the reader from the mobo USB header. Just remove the card. Many TV's have card readers, too. |
