Solve : NORTON 360 - WEBROOT SPY SWEEPER CONFLICT??

Answer»

I need to upgrade my 2006 Norton anti virus to Norton 360. I am also running
Webroot Spy Sweeper. Do you people foresee any conflicts? Thanks. To be honest I'd scrap Norton altogether. There are free products out there which are just as GOOD if not better. Avast, AVG and Avira are a few.Quote from: kpac on August 24, 2010, 12:27:32 PM

I couldn't disagree more. The current releases of Norton protection products are first rate.Quote

With all due resepct kpac, repeating yourself doesn't make you right. If you want us to accept a statement like that, back it up with some documented facts. So what makes you right? I never said I was right, it's my opinion that there are free AVs which are real COMPETITORS to commercial ones. You didn't state an opinon, you stated it as fact. Back it up.
But to answer your rudely put question, here's one of many reviews supporting my statement: http://reviews.cnet.com/internet-security-and-firewall/norton-360/4505-3667_7-32330411.htmlAnyway, if free is floating your boat, there are some good choices for free.

I would, though, not run two antimalware/antispyware/virus programs simultaneously with realtime protection all enabled.

For feshbow, who already has Webroot Spy Sweeper and it's active and without any virus detection module I assume, then a Malwarebyes or a SuperAntispyware or a A-Squared free may be enough (the free VERSIONS in which no realtime protection or automatic updates are available) for second opinion (I think).Quote from: http://reviews.cnet.com/internet-security-and-firewall/norton-360/4505-3667_7-32330411.html

I APOLOGISE, it was not meant to be rude.

Norton: 98.6%
Avast: 97.3%
AVG: 94.2%
Free versions easily stand up to paid versions of AVs.Quote from: fesbow on August 24, 2010, 12:16:48 PM

To answer your question no, no conflicts. Thanks all for your attention to my question. I will run Norton 360 for anti virus, and Webroot for spyware. I would like to keep Webroot for some of the neat extra features. If this dose not work out I'll let you KNOW.
