Solve : OE Express "From" field text is invisible?

Recently, the text in the "from" column in Outlook Express (being used as a newsreader only, not an email client) has become invisible when logged ONTO my domain (when logged on to the local server this is not an ISSUE). I need to know how to restore the text to it's original color (black on white). I am assuming that the fix will be a registry modification since I have reviewed every possible option that is configurable via the OE GUI.

Why would the thread subject, date, and other column information remain visible while "from" is invisible?

OS: Windows Advanced Server 2000 SP4 running TERMINAL services (problem exists both in a terminal service session as well as when logged onto the console.)
System: AMD Sempron 3100+ w/768MB DDR/160GB UDMA
