Answer» that and 'you may not have the permisssions toaccess this device'. its a dell DIMENSION e510. so what do ineed to do to make that message go away can you not just deselect it in biosI did deselect it, but it still keeps happening. I removed it as a boot device Where's this machine from and what happened prior to this ? ?double post its not mine, its a clients and they apparently tinkered with it and put in a floppy drive. So one option is I can phystically remove the floppy drive, but I was just WONDERING i F there was some software switch I may have missed If there is let me know Disconnect temporarily either the data or power cable from the floppy drive... Enter setup and DISABLE floppy SEEK on bootup...
