Solve : Open files in win7 that were backup with .bkf?

Can anybody please help me with the .bkf backup as we are having trouble opening it. We have tried installing .dll files but they don't seem to FIX the problem. If you know anything about this or have experienced this before, please let me know as I would GLADLY appreciate it.

OjasWas the .bkf backup created on that computer or some other computer?  What OS was used on the computer that created it?  What software was used to create it?

It was backup on  windows XP Professional on another computer software was windows xp back up .bkf
