i am having a problem with my windows i can operate in safe mode my icons all appear but when i log into regular windows i get a black screen that will flash blue or just stay black and no icons will appear but works fine in safe mode can any one help i even tried to install a new xp but still WONT WORK out of safe modeAny idea what caused this?

Did you try 'last known best configuration' instead of safe mode?i went to last good configuration and nothin //it just started doing it without no knowledge as to whyDo you have virus protection? YES THE COMPUTER HAD VIRUS'S FROM MY SON BUT I INSTALLED A NEW COPY OF XP AND IT STILL DOES ITOk, if you can't be bothered being coherent and minding your style of writing this is all the advise you'll get out of me;

1. Set CD-ROM PLAYER to first boot DEVICE
2. Boot from Windows XP CD
3. Reformat partition C: as NTFS.

sry for the caps im at work we have type with that but i already did reconfig and still nothinIf you reformat the drive and install Windows XP, it should boot normally.

I have installed many times window xp to were i became a pro at it but cant figure out why i can only get on with safe mode with networking
