Solve : Operation Aborted?

Answer»

I was wondering why SOMETIMES I try to go into a website and it says "Internet Explorer cant open the website-Operation Aborted". This happens sometimes and it never happened before. What have you done recently to your PC?
Can you use another browser?
You can go to www.mywot.com and check to see if the web site you want is a bad site.
Don't go to bad sites. They really can mess with your PC in a bad way. If that was the PROBLEM, be glad you found out.

But if that is not the problem, come back here with a list of good sites you can not enter, and let others check them out.Hi,
The easiest way for you to fix the problem is to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.
This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 8.

@Geek-9pm- Recently I did an Acer eRecovery which eliminated all my FILES. I had IE 9 and it went back to IE 7. I've tried other browsers and they never work for me. Google Chrome, Firefox never work. Believe me, I dont go to any bad sites.Quote from: Jack Catalano on October 18, 2011, 07:40:12 PM

I still get "Operation Aborted" on some of the websites I go to. What should I do next? Should I upgrade to IE 8 or 9? I wont lose my browsing history, will I? Im still getting "Operation Aborted" sometimes. If I upgrade to IE 8 or 9 will I lose my browsing history. I ask this because I will save my files and what not instead of upgrading and losing everything which I have done before. And you're sure it's not the site being down. . . . ?No, all the sites are ok. It just happens sometimes on good websites.I've never seen the operation aborted message visiting a website...
This leads me to belive it's something on your end.

I downloaded IE 8 after my computer started freezing. I figured I had to do it. The computer was freezing and operation aborted was still there. I lost the browsing history but I still have it in my search engine. Also, I was able to download some Windows Updates which helped as well.
