Hi there! I've joined this website in hopes of finding someone who might know what the heck is going on with my computer lately. I am using Windows XP system pack 3 Version 5.1 and recently when I try to open most of my programs a message will pop up saying I'm using an unsupported OS ( windows xp or later needed). I just tried downloading utorrent and it says utorrent doesn't support the windows 2000 OS but I'm not using windows 2000! The same thing happens with just about everything else. I don't have anything checked in the compatibility box so I'm really confused. I'm not too great with COMPUTERS so If there is any information about my computer that I could give you to help please let me know. Thanks! 1) What is new or DIFFERENT since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new HW, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

2) Run full system scans with BOTH your anti virus APP AND with MalwareBytes1) I had just had my friend install the OPERATING system and had not restarted it since. After the first restart of the computer the problem started.
2)I'm using avast and have run a full scan but nothing is coming up Did your friend use a legitimate, retail OS disc to install? I'm guessing not.No it's not. :/And there you have it...
