Answer» I have windows xp pro and it wont let me log onto the computer. It goes to the welcome page, I click on my name and it trys to open and then it just "saves" my settings. Needless to say I'm not on that computer right now! I can't get into it at all. It doesn't work in safe mode either. I've had this for 2-3 YEARS so it's not because I didn't register my copy of windows and it expired after 30 days.Lester: You are the third person in as many weeks with whom i've communicated who has had the same problem. I also had this problem. The reason is that, you are using PIRATED version of windowsXP and the trial version of windows has expired and you didn't register the copy of windows. Try reinstalling windows from some other CD. There is no solution otherwise. Remember..!!!you must reinstall windowsXP after formating your drive containing windows XP, so make sure that you have transfered your data to some other drive before formating. Reinstalling the OS will not give an additional 30 days, unless the hard drive is reformatted.load the winxp disk in the drive.....press enter. then press the f8 and chose the REPAIR option..... Docummm..... well friend... I also had this problem.
