Answer» it doesn't seem to work on my cmd prompt... tell me how to re-install it pleaseHello.
This is a notoriously bad request for HELP, you provide us with absolutely nothing but the NAME of the program that doesn't work for you!
Here's what I want to know: -Your operating system -How you installed OSQL in the first place (MSDN SQL Server 2008??)
Thanks.
ok... here's the thing..
i have a windows xp OS...
i need to use the command "osql.exe" but somehow this always appears: "'osql.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
see now??Thank you.
I understand your problem, but I need to understand how you got there in order to fix it.
OSQL is not included with Windows XP by DEFAULT, the only time I have run across it is when installing SQL Server or similar software development packages. Are you aware of this?
If so, please tell me what program you are trying to install to use OSQL.ooh... now i get it... i thought it was built in windows xp...
could you tell me how to install it in my pc? Sure!
Visit this LINK: http://www.microsoft.com/express/sql/default.aspx
Install the free SQL Server 2008 Express edition.
After installing, your command prompt should respond to the osql command.
If not, please POST back here with your progress.
Thanks and good luck.
