Solve : OUT OF FREQUENCY?

Answer»

I have an OLD gateway EV910 monitor hooked up to a 1 year old computer - windows XP. After i am on the computer for a few hours - the monitor goes blank and a message pops up - "Out of Frequency" and the message shows my HF and VF frequency is LOWER than what the operating HF and VF  frequency should be. The monitor goes to stand by after 17 seconds. If I turn off the monitor and turn it back on - the same message pops up and goes to stand by again after 17 seconds. (It shows you the COUNT down.) I then have to re-start my computer to clear it up. After running a while it does it again.Joe, try to post once .

Right click on your desktop and go to ADVANCED. Check your Screen Resolution and change it then try again.

Also check advanced in the same TAB and check monitor settings in the monitor tab.

What happens if youtry this monitor on another computer? Or another monitor on this one? That pertains to the vertical and/or horizontal frequency setting. Either the card or the monitor does not support the frequency. Use lower settings.Hit'nRun!
