Solve : Outlook 2002 questions? |
|
Answer» 2 questions re: Outlook 2002. 1) How do I set up a default Subject Line phrase for all me new emails? 2) Outlook forgets my passwords. Is there a good fix. I am not very computer literate and don't even know where to look to see if these questions have been answered...In Outlook click on TOOLS - ACCOUNT SETTINGS - then double-click on an email account and put a tick in "remember passwords". Oops, I forgot to mention that I am using Outlook 2002 in Vista which doesn't want to remember passwords. I've seen this frustration in other places, but has anyone figured out what to do?I ALREADY answered your question about Outlook saving passwords. If that doesn't solve the problem you need to clarify your quesiton. The problem is this: When using Outlook 2002 with Vista, the "remember password" can be checked but they are lost and must be reentered every time Outlook is gone into. I've seen this issue mentioned by others who are also frustrated with the fact that passwords are not remembered in Vista but no ONE seems to know what to do. It has nothing to do with Vista. See if anything here helps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684 Allan. Thanks for the link to put a default subject line in Outlook 2002, but there has to be a step missing as I can only get so far and then what is suggested doesn't exist to do...Allan, thanks for the link. I'll give this a try with fear and trembling being an older guy with little sense of COMPUTERS.You're not much older than I am, if at all, and computers don't frighten me . By the way, if you don't use disk imaging software to backup your system you should. Look into it. Images are best saved to a second (internal or external) hard drive and should be created frequently, keeping the most recent images and deleting the older ONES. |
