Solve : page fault error?

Answer»

how do I correct a page fault error in non paged area and what does this error mean.It caused a blue screen that made me reboot in SAFE mode and delete the latest program that I installed to get back my computer. the program I installed was system mechanic 6,I haved USED system mechanic for years this upgraded version crashes the computer after install and reboot. thank you Terry curio....Was System mechanic 6.1 purchased or D/L from some site ....it almost sounds like it may be a registration issue ...... iolo technologies may have added to discourage piracy ....or there are remnants of a previously installed version which are creating the issue.

dl65 I purchased it from Iolo, have versions 4-6 have used it for a LONG time.it could be remnants from version 5,I contacted them they seem to keep updateing the version no's each time they do they answer my request for help with a new version to try.each time it is the same blue screen. the internet has lots of people with the same problem as mine.I can't even load and run properly the older versions since I installed the sysmech6 from disk.it has changed something in my system.was hopeing that someone had an answer.thanks for the time. Terrycurio.....I have been using System Mechanic Pro V 5.5.1.0
for the past year so I am more than familiar with it .......
I THINK what you must do is .....Remove all bits and pieces of the previous versions from your machine ......in fact , I would remove the newest version as well .......then do a manual search of the registry and remove all entries which are still in there ....and there are probably lots of them. Then and only then ....reinstall the current version and I believe things will be ok. If you don't know how to do a manual registry search , let me know and I'll walk you through it .

dl65 http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.phpcurio.... Here's how to manually edit the registry.

Manual Registry Search

1. click start

2. click run

3. In the Run box …type regedit
4. Click ok

5. Registry editor will open

6. click Edit from registry editor functions

7. select Find

8. when the find box opens….

9. In the field where it says …Find what …enter what your looking for …….example ……. System mechanic….. then click the find next button.

10. A entry will be displayed ……check to be certain its what you want …..then right click on it and choose… delete …..and its gone .

11. Now go back and click on Edit on the registry editor again ….system mechanic will still be showing in the box …….. click find next again …..and again delete the next entry highlighted …….. Repeat this until you see the message displayed ……Finished searching the registry …….

12. Now click ok and your done .

Note……you may find a number of entries …….just be sure to remove them all.
…… It is always a good idea to create a backup of the registry before you start .

This should help you .
