Solve : Password asked when start up windows? |
|
Answer» Hi everyone, I got a PC that was given away from my company. It was installed with windows XP before. When I got it, it didn't have hard drive or RAM so I bought a new one and install them on my PC. When I first start up the PC, this message was appeared: I don't know the password so what can I do to solve this issue?khuynh: The obvious answer would be "ask your company". Quote from: Computer_Commando on October 25, 2009, 08:43:11 PM It says to press <CTRL><ENTER>I almost FELL for that also... But I think it's asking user to prove they're authorized first... (by typing the password). Quote Secondary drive 0 not foundHey, I'll go out on a limb... I'm guessing the "Secondary" indicates the secondary IDE channel (as opposed to "Primary"). How many IDE connectors are on the motherboard?Quote from: dahlarbear on October 25, 2009, 09:56:42 PM khuynh: The obvious answer would be "ask your company".I did ask my company and already tried the one they gave me, it didn't work either. Is there any kind of software that can break the password that y'all know of so I can try?Quote from: dahlarbear on October 25, 2009, 09:56:42 PM I almost fell for that also... That's the BIOS password which can be cleared by resetting the CMOS, remove battery and clear with jumper. See www.support.dell.com for detailed instructions.
