On my library website, where I go to order books and check to see if any of them are in, I have an account. When I log in and try to go from one screen to another, I keep having to put my password and pin in. What did I do to mess this up? I used to be able to go anywhere on this website without constantly repeatedly putting my password and pin in. I know it's not the website, because no one else is having the same problem. I think I changed something but I don't remember what. Very bad memory plus I don't understand what a lot of the settings on the computer are for.
Any setting I can adjust to correct this ? (In very SIMPLE terms)you have to enable cookies on your browser

Which browser and what version are you using?

This is just a guess, but for Firefox 2.0.0.20, there's an option to "Remember passwords for sites". To access:

o Firefox
o Tools (pull down menu)
o Options...
o Security Icon (tab?)
o check "Remember passwords for sites"
o OK buttonI did ask at the library, but on one else has the same problem and I can go to the library and use their computer, go onto my account there with no problem.
I use Internet Explorer, but I don't know what version it is. Where do I check to find that out?

1. Internet Explorer.
a. Version. On the old version I'm using, I select the "Help" pull down menu and select "About Internet Explorer". Buried within the "About Internet Explorer" window is the version number. For me it's "6.0.2800.1106".

b. Cookies. Take closer look at "Privacy" and "Security" tabs of "Internet Options" window. To access:
o "Tools" pull down menu
o "Internet Options..."
o "Security" or "Privacy" tab

:)I called my server and the guy I got this time was very helpful. I had downloaded IE8 and he thought that might have something to do with my problem. He suggested I download Foxfire and see if that helped, which I did and now it works perfectly again. Foxfire is awesome!!!!!
