Answer» Is there a free (the operative word here is "free" ) password program I can USE to protect a partition on a hard drive? I build a loaner pc and have created a partiton that I used ACRONIS to make a complete backup of the hard drive. I want to keep prying-eyes that are tempted to see what's there out!! But at least then if they access the image file, it will be all blocked inside.Acronis itself will allow you to password protect an image... It comes up EARLY on right after it asks for a description of the image you are creating... patio.
