Answer» I copy some text from a MS works wordprocessor file (command C). Then try to paste it into an email I'm composing (command V) while online. Immediately the computer tells me I've lost internet connection, then reconnects me to the email, without the text I tried to copy in.
This is a refurbished Emachine with some other problems caused by WEIRD settings.
NEW: This problem occurs only if the text I copied was on a MS Works document. If I copied the text from Wordpad or from other internet forums, the paste function works just fine.
I'd like to think you mean CTRL-C and CTRL-V. If not, that's your problem.Yep. CTRL, not Command. Our other computer is a Mac.Okay, well you allude to other problems - can you tell US about them? You have some hotkeys or sticky key settings that are doing this...Currently, only one ohter problem. I'm REPLYING to an email and want to delete part of the email I'm replying to. So I highlight that part, press Delete key, and the entire email is deleted from the incoming list.I forgot to add that I don't know how/where to find hotkey settings or exactly what to do when I find them.Start (Vista Orb) > Control Panel
Check for ANYTHING like 'X Keyboard Settings', where X is the name of the keyboard manufacturer. (i.e Labtec, Microsoft, ...)
Also, use the Modify feature of the FORUM if you need to add information to your previous post.
