Answer» Hey all, New to the forums, looks like eveyone is of great help on the board. Yesterday I deleted a virus that Avast! detected. I don't have the virus name, but the type was a "Clone". Upon dleeting the virus my computer loads right up to the DESKTOP and then RESTARTS continuously. When I try to start in Safe Mode through F8, the ARROW keys are disabled. So I am not able to select starting in Safe Mode. I'm running XP. Any thoughts?Do you have a standard PS2 KEYBOARD or USB?It's a standard USB keyboard. I've tested the keyboard when the computer boots to the desktop. However, when I enter the F8 screen the keyboard is unresponsive.Setup a PS2 keyboard and try it.
