Answer» hello!
this is my first post here.i'm a 25 years old romanian guy and i need HELP.i have a xp sp3 and since yesterday i GOT problems.when i do the shut down it blocks .appears the blue screen as USUALLY and says saving settings(as normal) but then says windows shut down(LIKE normal) and blocks.i have waited seven minutes to shut and doesn't.so now i have to use the button to shut it.and this happens also when i need to reboot! so i can't reboot.i have to use the power button to shut down and restart.sorry for my english! also i see thatmy tune up says at system error: "programs will not close normally at shut down" and as a solution says:"Increase the maximum waiting time for the program to 15 seconds". can you help me please?Hi Bubui no need to panic my friend.Sounds like a minor problem. Can you start of by telling me what Antivirus program/s you have? Do you have any programs to clean up the computer?now i don't have an antivirus installed! i have USED avira personal! i try to attach a hijack log made recently! i have installed antimalware bytes, spybot search&destroy, tuneup utilities,xp repair, error profesional.before this problems appeared i used only tune up.after the problem i have tried the others.spybot finded ten problems and fix it.but the problem persists.
[Saving space, attachment deleted by admin]Hi Bubui, does the shutdown process still hang if you end all open applications via task manager first? You shouldn't have more then one of each type of programs on there. They can "mess" each other up. I would suggest getting Ccleaner and either SUPERantispyware or Advance System Care. You can both of those free from download.com Also, if you get Ccleaner do a registry cleanup and if you do get Advance System Care (which i would suggest getting both) Do a memory cleanup.i have tried all of your tips-thanks for that- but the problem remains.Shutdown Issues in XP...
