brought it home TURNED it on
the screen came on with compac written across it
then a message came on
said there where new updates added
click on F1
I did
then another message came on said to
click on F10
I did and the cseen went blank what did I do?
and how do I correct this
to get my sceen back up?What OS do you have?

Jonas I do not know what you mean when you say OS, but when I boot up it is still a blank screen, but there are lights on top with the number 1 below one, the letter A under another and a DOWNWARD arrow with a LINE under it they all are lite up that is it please help me Hi! Look on the back of your laptop to see a manufacture date-if any..... OK unplug the laptop - stand back for a minute - start the laptop - see if the harddrive light flickers - if the screen comes on .... hold th "DEL" key... if the setup screen comes on proceed with instructions....If no screen.. your hard DRIVE may be bad.....
