Answer»

Hi Everybody,

Currently I am using Windows XP, when I am trying to shutdown my PC immediately restarts after that I have changed the settings as MENTIONED in the screen shot. Now when I am trying to shutdown my pc it showing below error message
"Stop : c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0x00000000 0x00000000).

For the above error what I need to do? Is there any solution for this? or I need to reinstall OS?

Recommend you change setting from "Complete memory dump" to either "Kernel memory dump" or "Small memory dump (64 KB)". Both of the later settings should produce a "minidump" which is more manageable (smaller in size).

Look for "C:\Windows\Minidump" subdirectory containing files with names of format "MiniMMDDYY-nn.dmp" (e.g. Mini020610-01.dmp). Also look for "C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP" (kernel dump).

2. BlueScreenView. This utility from NirSoft may be used to extract relevant INFORMATION from a Windows "minidump" file.

(Most of the following procedures were "stolen" from Broni.)
a. Download BlueScreenView (in Zip file).
b. Extract the executable from the zip file.
c. Double-click BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
d. When scanning is done, go Edi>Select All.
e. Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
f. Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.Quote

I think they're referring to the dialog where you're asked if you wish to report the error to Microsoft. If either a small or kernel memory dump was completed, a "Yes" answer to that dialog will send it to Microsoft's Hang and Crash Dump Analysis warehouse.Quote from: dahlarbear on February 14, 2010, 04:05:28 PM

We know what he meant. It's simply that the question is COMPLETELY irrelevant.Dear Dahlarbear,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have done the same as you instructed and but there no dump file generated after restarting my PC (5 times I have restarted).

Kindly advise what to do?

Thanks & Regards,
Satyam.
