Wireless Network Card or wireless router? It is a wireless router supplied from virgin media... It connects to my PC via ethernet to a realtek RTL8139 ethernet card... I run windows xp, i think the system is american megatrends but it was custom built
try to remove it and if the pc works fine then just ask for replacement in warrnty..........

or try booting in safe mode or restore ur system to the previous time using windows restore it must work fine........

or the last fix is reinstall the windows again..........

the best part is to JSU restore the windows as on the earlier time wins windows restore.........

u will find it add start>all programms>accessories>system tools>system restore.............

ur computer must have created a restore point a t the time of installation of the hardware........... Quote from: miz on September 16, 2009, 06:51:37 AM

A router will not cause a computer to shut down after 10 minutes of use.
Have you installed an Anti-virus program and is it up to date?
Have you scanned for spyware?scans done.. its clear... is it maybe ny driver for ethernet?Quote from: miz on September 16, 2009, 11:18:22 AM

If your computer is restarting, then theres a possibility of overheating. Open up the computer and blow out the dust. Try to not let the fans move from the air. ALSO download speedfan and tell us the temps. i have googled speedfan but dont know where it can be downloaded despite the download button..... any direct links?

cant do warranty cos it was custom built many years aho and this is the first time i ever let it connect to the web...

it never suffers the same problem when i turn my router off

http://www.filehippo.com/download_speedfan/i have installed speed fan ad it says as follows:

temp1: 45c
temp2: 43c
temp3: -91c (although this keeps changing)
local: 43c
remote: 45c
hd0: 23c
hd1: 190cThe temps dont look bad. Is there any dust in there? CLEAN it out
