hi,i was downloading bit defender,then PC crashed on me,i can boot up in safe mode but cannot RESTORE to last known good configeration ive a acer aspire 1640z,thanks for any info in advanceWhat operating system and service pack level?

Not sure what you mean. What happens when you attempt to restore "last known good CONFIGURATION"? If there's an error message and/or numbers please post the "exact" text.im using WINDOWS xp service pack 2, there is no error message or text.Quote
