how can i personalized my startup tone everytime i open and close my computer?

Assuming you're using XP, go to control panel>sounds and audio devices. Then go to the sounds tab. Under program EVENTS find the sound you WANT to change (start windows/windows logon) and change it to whatever sound you want. It needs to be a .wav FILE (ie mp3s won't work)

what if i choose a song has long duration?is this allowable?It can be as long as you want...you'll find it difficult to run anything else however until it finishes.what audio format will be used to change my startup tone?
