Solve : Pertains to Windows XP and DOS mode?

Answer»

Downloaded DOS version of DOOM(game). Downloaded in Winrar format.Extracted files.Tried to drag-n-drop in my "games"file. --(now during this PROCESS, some of the DOOM files were copied) ----Started deleting the DOOM files. Then this prompt comes up---------"Cannot delete copy (3) of DOOM : It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again."----------I went to C: drive search and FOUND the files. They still wouldn't delete. I re-downloaded the game AGAIN, and tried to delete the "copies". Still didn't WORK. So, I think I may have to go to DOS mode(which I know how to get there), and fix the problem from there. Any suggests? Just reboot and then delete the files.Still won't let me delete the filesTry removing them in safemode...
Rapidly press f8 at startup before you see the Windows SPLASH screen...Still didn't work......hmmm...maybe the computer Gods are not looking my way today...It HAS to delete in safe mode. Okay, try this - download, install, and use moveonboot (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Boot-Manager-Disk/MoveOnBoot.shtml) or unlocker (http://download.cnet.com/Unlocker/3000-2248_4-10493998.html)THANKS!!!!!-- Used the "unlocker" program. *NOTE*-To any more users, do as normal trying to delete the file, prompt comes up with the denial message, click "O.K", then the unlocker comes up. Make sure you highlight "delete" in the lower left box, highlight the item to delete, then click the unlock box. BAM!!! It's deleted!!!Once again, thanks guys!!!You're welcome.
