Solve : Picture attachments outlook express?

Answer»

Hello. I have windows XP Home; Outlook Express 6. I had a system failure and repairs in 11-09. The only change was adding SP3 to my system. All my DOCUMENTS were saved.

When I try to send email attachments of a folder/file with numerous pictures now, it will not attach. I can only do single picture attachments manually. Could someone assist me with this please? Thanks kindly and happy new year. Did your system fail because of adding SP3 or do you have SP3 right now? If you don't have SP3 right now, I recommend GOING to www.windowsupdate.com and downloading every update from there. Restart when it asks you to, then repeat.Quote from: tgp1994 on January 09, 2010, 01:00:16 PM

I wouldn't necessarily get every update, but certainly the critical ones should be applied.
You may not want many of the optional updates. I avoid those like the plague.Quote from: Quantos on January 09, 2010, 01:01:25 PM

Right, critical ones for sure. And I would also get any update related to Internet Explorer, and for our poster, and update related to Outlook Express.

But why do you not like Optional Updates?Quote from: tgp1994 on January 09, 2010, 01:13:07 PM

Because I don't like Windows Live, Media PLAYER 11, or any of the other crap that are available. It's also a terrible way to update drivers

I can agree with you there, but there are other updates for Windows XP in general that are not considered "Critical", but may still be wanted.Quote from: Quantos on January 09, 2010, 01:01:25 PM

Quantos: No, my system did not fail because of installing SP3. I had, in fact resisted installing SP2 and 3 for awhile. I did finally put in SP2 and then THOUGHT it was causing problems so uninstalled SP2 and that is what crashed my system. After reparis, I had all updates through SP3 on the system. I am automatically signed up for Windows updates and do all the critical ones. That was actually me who asked you...

Ya, bad idea to avoid and/or uninstall SP2. Install it and keep it.
