My OS is Windows xp. I turned on the computer today and little pink horizontal lines are all over my screen. they look like this:

All the WAY from the top of the screen to the BOTTOM. Can someone help?

Echotry opening in safe mode...maybe video drive issuesok...once I get to safe mode then what do I do?Check in Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager and look for anything fishy...make sure you expand all the check boxes in the left column.
If you see any devices with a yellow ? rite clik them and select remove. This will give you an error MESSAGE, ignore it.
Re-boot and Windows will re-detect and re-install the troubled devices.
Afterwards you may need to update your video drivers.

patio. Thank you all for your help. I was able to identify the problem after you pointed me in the right direction. It was my fan on my vid card that went south. Now I just pray that my 500.00 video card is not fried.
