I have DVD ROM on my PC which uses OS Win98se. What other hardware or software do I need in order to pllay DVD movies on it? If software is needed, is there such software available in the internet?

Bill.No extra hardware is needed (as long as the graphics card is good enough), only software. VLC should work on windows 98. Give it a shot.

I installed VLC to my Win98se, I had the following results:
While plalying video files, there was no sound; and
the program could not play DVD from DVD ROM Drive.

I could have ask for help from the program publisher, but they do not support unregistered users.

Can you figure out what I am missing?SILLY question, but do you have speakers and sound card? These are required to play audio (usually inbuilt sound card is sufficient). You may also need to download some video/DVD CODECS to be able to play them properly
