Answer» I have an XP Home Edition and recently it has given me a probelm. When the computer starts up everything is fine then is asks me how I wish to start up the computer giving me these options; Safe Mode <-- works, but with a ZOOMED in screen. Safe Mode with Command Promt <-- Same thing. Safe Mode with Networking <-- Same thing. Last Used CONFIGURATION SETTINGS <-- Windows Logo appears then screen goes black. Start Up Windows Normally <-- Same thing as L U C S And on rare occasions the computer will start up normally without issue. Not very often.DId you install/run any new program before this started? Quote Safe Mode <-- works, but with a zoomed in screen. Safe mode is suppoed to be like that. Boot into Safe Mode and look at the following link to system restore. click here Restore to about 2 DAYS before the problem occured. You will not LOSE any work.
