DCan you attach that mini011208-01.dmp file?
Save it as a text file. If it's more, then 128KB, zip it.Quote

This is not an error message but shows the location on your hard drive of a minidump file containing system information when an unrecoverable error condition is detected. You can read about minidump debugging here.

From the information given it looks like a Stop 7F error (processor fault) could be the problem. See here..

Good luckThank you for you'r respose...I looked at the sites you suggested and to be honest alot of this info is way beyond my current understanding...
What i did do was perform a system restore, and since doing so i have not received the error,as well something i believe may have occured was that at the occasions of this error my wife was cleaning and may have hit the power cord?? If the power was SUDDENLY cut off, causing the computer to shut off instantly, could this cause the above error? My PC is running cpu Temp at around 38 celsius,so it seems actually to COOL??...Its my old AMD k6 II pc i use to store my music on...This old Pc was purchased new, upgraded and serviced a few times and has never failed.
I would like to find out the cause of this error, any simpler methods of doing so?
Thanks to all for you'r assistance.
D
Dave...just be happy, it got fixed...
BTW, 38C looks normal for older machine. Mine is running at 20-21C.Quote from: Dave

Regrettably I don't know of any simpler method. What is available gets very bogged down in processor technology.

SURE, it's a POSSIBILITY in the circumstances. Like Broni says - be happy it's fixed - and take over the cleaning from your dear lady or guard your power cable when the vacuum cleaner is around!!! LOL

Good luckQuote from: Broni on January 12, 2008, 11:51:36 AM

Is there a ghost busters forum? There really should be one! lol...Because i swear, some of the stuff that goes on with my old music PC, it's haunted! lol..We could share all of our PC stories from the other side:)
I wonder if any type of spirit has ever decided to take up residence inside of a PC? LOL:)
Please feel free to post, and share all of you'r PC haunting stories...
