Hello,
I just bought a brand new Dell PC which came a Nvidia GeForce 8600GT graphics card running on win vista. Now the only game i play is Final Fantasy 11 online and after i installed it and i STARTED to play it, i saw that after every 2 SECS the game would take a hiccup/slow down. Now this game is over 4 years old and i should not have any PROBLEM playing this on this Computer. Any idea what the problem could be. I have uploaded all the up to date drivers necessary from microsoft and nvidia. And still the problem persists. Now i have also tried this game on low res mode and the problem is still there.

I will appreciate all the help that i can get from you guys.

You should defragment your computer first.

Hope this helps.and.... get all the updates and patches that were released for Final Fantasy 11. Maybe it'll help.I have already downloaded that Playonline version which is used for Windows Vista.


Also, any update/patches are automatically installed before i log into the game. Problem starts to happen when the game is started..
Did you try to reinstall?yup...I reinstalled windows vista and FF11 but it was the same thing again....

Cpu is running fine w/o any problems....just that game....

Try one thing .... try to run game in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode that vista provides.

Game will attempt to run in XP environment, so maybe it will help!
