Answer»

pleeeze u guys tell me how to do this. i cannot edit my registry. it sayz "registry editing has been disabled by your adminstrator" but I am the administrator. can u guyz please
tell me how to solve this prob. it will be really helpfulWhat VERSION of windows are you using?
That registry editing has been disabled can be a sign of a virus infection. It might be a good idea to scan your computer with an up to date anti virus program.
You can also try an online AV scanner like Kaspersky.i use windows XP and i have kaspersky internet security 6.0 BT that doesnt do anyhinDownload Hijackthis and post a logfile.
That way a specialist like Chris (CBMatt) can take a look at it.

Jonas go to a command line and type

gpedit.msc

and hit enter

A window should open and look in the LIST for User Configuration and than below it look for Administrator Templates and than System.

Once that is open look on the list on the right side of the screen and find the line that says....

Prevent access to the registry editing tools double click it and than set it to disable. After CLOSE all the windows.

The registry editing should now work.
Note: Windows XP Home Edition does not have gpedit.mscFirst of all tell us why you need to edit the registry...
Second let us know what steps you took that failed.Yeah.........is this a computer at SCHOOL....or at work....or at a public place?

Wouldn't hurt to tell us what you pan to do......
