Answer» Today I restarted my computer and when it did the screen came up saying "Invalid system disk..." There was no disk in the drives so I made a boot disk and PUT it in.
Now I can get to a Command Prompt for A:\ and I can change to my hard drive C:\ and all of my stuff is still on my hard drive but Windows will not open, when I try to start it in SAFE Mode the starting Windows 98 screen comes up for about a second and the it goes to a C:\ command prompt and right above that it says Microsft Windows 98 with copyright info and stuff. I try to start it in normal mode and in safe mode but it still goes to command prompt.
I need help to actually getting windows started. Please help, I'm desparate. At the C: check if the Windows directory still exists. If it does try going into it and running the executable. I doubt this will work.Did you have ANTIVIRUS software?
