Answer» I bought an Acer Notebook (Aspire 4730Z) with VISTA. It runs slow and keeps kicking me off the INTERNET (my wireless). I have an extra copy of XP pro I'm TRYING to install. I keep getting the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) everytime XP setup goes to start XP install (after the loading of the drivers). I've read conflicting stuff on other forums so now I thought Id try this one. I went out and bought a new HARD drive and still get the same error. I downloaded acer'f hd format utility so my hd should be formatted and EMPTY. I tried loading the drivers but have no idea if I did it right. Can anybody help me I really don't want to have to run Vista.When you put the XP Pro disc into the CD Drive, are you booting from it? Have it format the Hard Drive before you install XP.
