Answer» ok... ok... I don't know what that means but post a LOT of INFORMATION and I'm sure the helpful responses will be coming. See below. its a type of operating system built in a Dell im not sure what else to include.. so ill just start listing stuff... Manufactured and supported by: Dell XPS 600 Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz 2.99 GHz, 2.00GB of RAM plus ive tried uninstalling my pc video card already i have a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 if you need something else please ask me any help will be appreciated Parts 1 and 2 continued from my first post 1) (continued) What happened: ok i downloaded a bunch of new skins for trillian and a couple of plug-ins i figured maybe thats what caused the twitching since it just came up after i installed them. well the trillian pro was a cracked version. im seriously thinking about reformatting. i have uninstalled the program and yet the twitching text continues... maybe the program wasnt the problem... im not sure what to do... 2) (continued) What happened: my friend is a modder of a game and i used to host a server for his mod and he sent me a folder containing the mod in a .rar folder and i unpacked it on my desktop (bad idea) because now i cannot remove, rename, or even open the stupid folder... so any help would be appreciated...Well, I think a good format and reinstall solves ALL Windows problems (for a while) so that would definitely get youfixed up, and warez are never a good idea, unless you like viruses and other problems (like this). You can most likely delete the desktop issue with Killbox. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php Whoknows what you have done with the bogus file causing the video issues.well thank you for your time, but the killbox thing didnt work got my hopes up though. im going to reformat and if the problems are still there im going to kill myself... lol jk but no really this is really tickin me off because my antivirus software cant kill the viruses/trojans they say cant be removed im like what the crap... and the directory is something wierd that is hidden like C:/System Volume Information.. idk some crap directory that i cant get to says access is denied the killbox said the same thing cant do it...Cracked versions and warez are great places to fully infect a machine with all forms of nasties...I have an Asus A7N8X2 Nforce Motherboard and think I need to change the cmos battery. Can I just remove and replace it without having to replace the BIOS. When BOOTING normally I get the message "BIOS checksum error--defaults loaded". Reseting the BIOS date etc manually and the computer WORKS fine. So I am assuming the cmos battery is flat unless anyone has a better idea?JS it's usually best to start a new topic so it can recieve the proper attention... Yes it does sound like a bad CMOS battery to me. About the size of a dime on the motherboard. Take your time and be careful in there. As always when working inside the case remove all power sources first and make sure to take anti-static precautions... |
