Answer» I have an old IBM thinkpad 600 that needs to be reformatted, wiped clean and re-installed with Windows. Currently running 2000 that came pre-installed with it. I have XP that I will probably PUT on. PROBLEM - There is NO CD Rom drive! Only Floppy. Is there any way I can use a flash drive with the XP CD copied to it or do I have to buy the CD Rom drive for the old computer just to install Windows again? This almost costs as much as the computer. Please give ideas... really LOVE the old fart of a computer, all I use it for is WORD processing and internet, but it needs a good slate CLEANING, having lots of errors (no viruses, but something must be CORRUPT).With a Pentium II and 64 MG of RAM you may be asking that machine to do too much...
