Answer» I am running windows XP and I recently have been receiving this annoying pop-up message. It says the following---- Message from Local System to user on 7/29/2007 CRITICAL ERROR MESSAGE!-REGISTRY DAMAGED AND CORRUPTED. To fix this problem: Open IE and type www.registrycleanerxp.com I've seen these type of thing before, but this ONE go away. I click OK and it just STAYS there. I click to close the box it stays there. I tried the task MANAGER, and clicked "end task". It's still there. I even tried to go to www.registrycleanerxp.com---page not found. Anyone know ANYTHING about this?A Google search on Open IE and type www.registrycleanerxp.com YIELDS plenty of info. Clearly, you've been hit with some malware. thanks soybeanDLoad and run a little script called Shoot the Messenger....does this stop the ads from coming ? ?
