Answer» When you turn on a COMPUTER the Power Supply runs POST and when all Voltage Levels and CURRENT Levels are good it sends a Signal to the Motherboard to stop GENERATING a Reset Signal.
My Q/A is? Does the Power Supply have some kind of Chip in it to tell when the Voltage and Current Levels are good or how does it do this?
And Q/A 2. What is a Reset Signal and when is it started?1) No...this is handled by the board itself. PSU's in nature are dumber than a box of rocks...
2) When you press the button...The power supply has nothing to do with POST. POST=Power On Self Test is a series of tests performed by the startup BIOS (Basic Input /Output SYSTEM) to determine if it can communicate correctly with the essential hardware components required for a succesful boot.
