Solve : Power management?

Answer»

I cant get my computer to hybernate or turn off hard disks.
I have enabled hybernation in poewr OPTIONS properties.
Is there something I have to enable in BIOS.There shouldent be, Waht sort of computer are you using? It is computer I built 2 years ago,
AMD Sempron 2800+
PCchips motherboard M863G
1.5 GB DDR 333 memory
160 GB segate HardDrive. You say you have enabled hibernation... what happens when you try to PUT it in hibernation?
Also what version of windows is this?Yes I have enabled hybernation in options, and I can put it into hybernation manualy.
But none of those AUTOMATIC options does not work (STANDBY, turn off hard disks, hybernation), except that montior turns off after time I set.
I am using Windows XP Home EDITION SP2.Turn off hibernation.
Turn off any Power Saving settings you have.
Reboot the system without making any changes 2 or 3 times.
Re-boot and try again...
It's a Windows quirk.
