Solve : Power Meter Icon?

Answer»

Can anyone HELP me out here? Windows XP SP2 flaptop that won't display the power meter on the task bar (next to the clock). Windows is set to display it yet it refuses to, even if I re-check and apply the option to display it. It also only seems to do this on one user account tho. What's a flaptop?

Have you tried this

1.Click Start, click RUN, type PowerCfg.cpl, and then click OK.
2.Click the Advanced tab.
3.Click to select the Always show ICON on the taskbar check box, and then click OK.
Yes, and a flaptop is a LAPTOP that I don't like to KEEP on my lap... therefore its flaptop I may have solved the problem by uninstalling the battery drivers and reinstalling them. Tho this is not a confirmed fix, it may start all over again next restart so keep those helpful comments comming.Did you right click the Task Bar, go to Properties, Customize and check 'always show'?
