Answer» It is OK to use the PM feature to contact a member about a specific question, but don't expect a response, unless you have already established that relationship. Our expertise is dispayed in the forums.
The reasons are so you get a variety of solutions into a problem you are having. Some may have heard of a solution, others may actually have accomplished what you are trying to do and show you their method.
The other advantage of a forum is to keep the information factual. If someone tells you something misleading or blatantly false (and that could HARM your MACHINE) then others will immediately expose the errors being made and suggest other ALTERNATIVES. If you are continuing a 1:1 communication that both parties are AGREEABLE to, then of course a PM is good for that.
So remember Safe Information is what we are about (and the occasional humor of course!) Remember we are not paid, and we post as our time and interest allows.
