Solve : Privating a folder?

Answer»

Right i needed to back up my C: to my other HD so i could reformat my HD without losing any of my work. I used some software to copy the entire contents of my C: to my other HD then i reinstalled WINDOWS onto the C:. Now when i try to open my "Documents and Settings" folder that i BACKED up it says "ACCESS Denied" or that i do not have the privalages to do so, I am the only USER and i am the admin by the way.

I think this is caused my me setting the folder to Private therefore now it encrypted and i can not access it. Is there anyway i can get access to this?Start the computer up in safe mode, log on as adminstrator, and then you'll be able to fix the PERMISSIONS on this folder.Nope - that does not work - It just comes it with errors when changing the permissions.Have you got Simple File Sharing turned off?  If not, go to Windows Explorer-->Tools-->Folder options-->View.  Ensure the SFS option is turned off.
