If successful on the repair process, transfer your files and upgrade. No, that's not what I'm saying. Previously, I could connect to internet with "Safe Mode with Networking". After disabling the automatic restart as suggested, I can not connect to the internet. 0x00000007E is ALMOST always a driver issue. Everytime I've seen it.. it turns out to be a graphics card driver or failure of the graphics card itself.
