Solve : problem with diagonal stripe on moniter after reboot from hibernate?

Answer»

It stops at exactly that point. being the point of startup. Goes DIRECTLY to stand by or no signal input. What is "that point"?It doesnt go anywhere. It starts. sounds good, all fans running, dvd player EVEN lights up like normal. And on the screen it says no input signal, then immediately goes to standby. It doesnt boot. It doesnt go to bios.

I thru a new video card in and it seems to have solved the problem. I'm sorry if I wasn't CLEARER with my info. I'm new at this. I do have one more question. Why would, in your opinion, a video card go out like that. It was fine when i went into hibernate. I loved the graphics on my computer!! I never had any problems at all with graphics. It seems that after Windows
made an error, and it was windows that made the error, my whole system seemed to go right down the toilet, taking my video card with it. I'm just bummed because i couldn't afford a new nvidia graphics card just yet so I had to settle for less. Thanks again for your help. I think the fact that it happened after hibernation was a coincidence. Video cards GET overheated. Semiconductor chips don't like to get too hot. They are famous for that. Maybe you live in a warm place and/or your computer's cooling is not efficient enough.
If this HAPPENS with video card removed, Dias must be right.Cool, THANKYOU!!!!! *computer is back* Now I can get some
sleep. What did you do?
